I hope it isn't as windy where you are as it is out here in Edgewood...I'm afraid to let the dogs out, especially the littlest one. Ahhh, springtime in N.M.
I want to congratulate our 2 Distinguished Disciples for this year: Mrs. Rebecca Pacheco and 6th grader, Aaron Acosta. They will be honored along with the D.D.'s from the other Catholic schools at a dinner May 4th at St. Pius X.
This Tuesday night at 6:30 is our regular School Consultative Council meeting in Rm. 1 in FGH. If you have any interest in the success of the Golf Tournament, I encourage you to attend. The Golf event is less than 2 weeks away and we will get a full, up to date report on how it is shaping up from Chairs Cynthia Fernandez and Greg Joyner who is representing the parish. While we have few golfers signed up from the school, we will need many volunteers. It's a good way to get your Service Hours.
Speaking of Service Hours, other opportunities are available--selling concessions and admissions at home basketball games, a Father/Daughter dance in May, setting up an art exhibit May 17th, and more. Contact the front office or send an email to me or Mrs. Pacheco:

We are having our Spring Book Fair sale in the library this week from 2-3:30 every day starting tomorrow.
A letter from Fr. Steve was sent out on Friday about a meeting on Wednesday evening. (check your child's backpack!) He welcomes your comments and suggestions on hiring a new principal. I was going to attach it to this writing, but I'm having issues with my printer/scanner here at home. I will send it out tomorrow at work.
Thank you for the privilege of working with your children.
Have a blessed Sunday afternoon, and a grace filled week!
Paula Domino DeHaas, Principal
