At Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School God gives us the opportunity every day to be the very best we can be: Christian role models, lifelong learners, and responsible citizens.
Dear Families & Friends of Fatima,
What a weekend this has been!
First let me congratulate our 3rd grade students who made their First Holy Communion at the noon Mass today. What a great day in their young lives, and from here on they will be able to participate fully in the celebration of the Mass! They looked radiant!
Secondly, thanks to everyone who contributed their time and/or treasure to help make the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament a success. Mother Nature was a little rough on us in the morning; that is to say, it was freezing cold and most of us were expecting warmer temps. It didn't seem to dampen the spirits of the hearty golfers who all seemed to enjoy the day. The sun did come out eventually, and it warmed up considerably. Our friends at
The Cooperage provided delicious breakfast burritos and coffee, and the Arroyo del Oso golf course was a very nice venue. We were grateful to their staff for their accommodations and delicious lunch.
I saw several families at the Archdiocesan Art & Music festival last night. Fatima made a good showing and we came home with a few blue, red and white ribbons.
This Friday several of our students will participate in the Faith Challenge Bowl on Friday morning at St. Pius. They have been practicing for several months with Mrs. Hiller and Ms. Wilson.
This Friday evening we will also have a fun and rousing fundraiser consisting of 90 minutes of ZUMBA dance and movements. We will be led by instructors from the local ZUMBA studio just down the street owned by a former Fatima parent. It really is a lot of fun, and a great workout. For those of you who may not be so confident of your dance moves, or want to rest now and then, you are welcome to join me on the back row...:)
That's it for now. Have a blessed week, and thank you for the privilege of working with your children.
I'm attaching a few pics here at the end.
